What Your Friendships Say About Your Self-Esteem

The #ILoveHer Podcast

Dec 15 2021 • 16 mins

We focus heavily on how our levels of self-esteem contributes to the type of relationships we find ourselves in, but often neglect how our self-esteem predicts the type of friendships we accept. We also tend to stay in friendships way past their expiry dates because of past memories and how long the friendship has lasted.

When we struggle with low self-esteem we accept poor behaviour from 'friends' and fail to assert our needs within our friendships. This episode explores some red flags of how low self-esteem shows up in our friendships, such as friendships being rather one sided and being clingy when meeting new friends. As always, this episode also introduces some practical tools to help you set boundaries within your friendships, support you with  being aware of the value you bring to your friendships and how to let go of friendships that work to lower your self-esteem.

Are you ready to make some much needed changes to your friendships?
