The Chasing Life podcast is an informative health podcast. It started out in 2020 as a podcast about the pandemic. It helped people navigate the misinformation, doubts, and fears that still permeate society. After almost 300 episodes, the podcast shifted its primary focus. It became a well-researched mental health, longevity, and well-being podcast. Beyond this, it provides insight into the workings of the human mind, body, and senses.

The host, Dr. Sanjay Gupta, is the Chief Medical Correspondent at CNN. The popular neurosurgeon also hosted the TV show of the same title as this podcast. He won several Emmys for his show, Sanjay Gupta MD. He also wrote the book Chasing Life, released in 2007. Other works by Gupta include Keep Sharp, 12 Weeks to a Better You, and Paging Dr. Gupta. He is a prolific contributor to other programs on the CNN platform.

On Chasing Life, Gupta and his expert guests address a variety of topics. They include psychedelics and dealing with anxiety arising from uncertainty. Do dreams serve a purpose? How many times should one bathe? How does someone break bad habits?

These are some questions Chasing Life seeks to answer. Guests on the show have included an astronaut, an immunologist, and a grief counselor. In "Expanding Your Senses," Gupta talks to a neuroscientist, Dr. David Eagleman. In the episode, they discuss the possibility of humans gaining superhuman hearing abilities.
