Grit Fitness and Performance Podcast

Sep 30 2022 • 23 mins

Today Oshane and I briefly discuss squats and how the beginner should approach implementing and performing them within their training program. In this episode we'll talk about:

  • how to perform an overhead squat assessment to determine if squatting is even a good idea (link below)
  • how to properly warm up for squats (see video links below)
  • why the goblet squat is the superior choice for beginners
  • minor adjustments you can make to tweak your squat for the better
  • where to progress things once the squat pattern starts to look solid
