This episode is the re-release of ‘Obligation for GPs to declare their earnings over £156,000’, which Katie and Jenny originally recorded and released back in April 2023.
This is because the 2023/24 General Practice Annual Electronic Self-Declaration (eDEC), due for submission by 1st December 2023, now includes some new questions on General Practice Pay Transparency (GPIT). Question 2N asks whether the partners or sole practitioner running the practice has complied with the requirements to self-declare their NHS earnings if above £156,000 for financial year 2021/22.
The self-declaration portal will be reopened on 23 October to allow outstanding 2021/22 self-declarations to be made.
