A retired police officer with an impressive 22-year career, Paul has tackled diverse roles, including patrol, SWAT, resident officer, undercover narcotics detective, and neighborhood response officer. His extensive training includes graduation from numerous firearms and tactics courses, earning him titles such as Illinois State firearms instructor, RangeMaster Firearms Instructor, defensive knife instructor, and defensive tactics instructor. Notably, Paul served as the lead pistol instructor for his agency, showcasing his expertise in the field.
Paul's journey in martial arts began in 1993 with Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, and he holds a black belt in the discipline under the tutelage of coach Chris Haueter. Beyond BJJ, Paul is a recognized instructor in Filipino Martial Arts, Jeet Kune Do concepts, and Mixed Martial Arts.
