We're told that food is medicine a lot in the holistic health space, which can be really stressful when your kid doesn't eat well. What do you do if your children only eat butter pasta and crackers?


In this episode I speak to Nishta Saxena, who has helped thousands of families with food and feeding over the past 15 years.


She’s a food and nutrition expert with CTV Your Morning and appears regularly on The Marilyn Denis Show, The Social and CBC. She’s an avid nutrition blogger and has contributed content to Best Health, CBC, The Toronto Star, Globe and Mail, and Today’s Parent.


Nishta completed her clinical dietetic internship at St. Michael’s Hospital in Toronto, and her MSc in Clinical Nutrition Science at the University of Toronto, where she has a faculty appointment in the Department of Family and Community Medicine.


We chatted about:

  • How do we know our child is getting what they need to grow optimally?
  • What factors are at play with a "picky" eater?
  • How can parents support a child who won't eat vegetables?
  • Is supplementing with multi-vitamins necessary?
