Andrew Scarborough is a writer, researcher and long term survivor of an aggressive type of brain cancer. His research is motivated by a passion to improve clinical outcomes for those diagnosed with a brain tumour. In accordance with this, he has a broad interest in metabolic health and in particular, the role of hyperinsulinaemia in cancer.
It is Andrew’s belief that his work will pave the way for future investigation of emerging treatments, clinical trials and evidence-based research targeting metabolic defects in cancer. Moreover, results of such a study could help to empower patients and provide us all with promise for a better future.
Andrew shares his thoughts and details the progress of his research through Substack and his podcast series ‘The Human Guinea Pig Project’. He is currently working on a self-funded cancer study at the University of Westminster and mulling over the prospect of doing a PhD.
