Belonging is one of our 6 basic human needs. As humans we need relationships to survive. Relationships tell us so much about ourselves but most times we're not listening or learning the lessons they are hear to show us. We close the door, blame the other, and run into a different face, same problem, not realizing how much our attachment styles, love language, and relationships with our primary caregivers in our developmental years run our relationships in adult life. Some of us feel condemned to never having a successful relationship when in reality a deeper level of self-awareness, and developing different relationship habits and skills could entirely change their life. As humans we're so fixated on the external forgetting that the level of our relationships can only match the level in intimacy, awareness, and trust you have with yourself.
