SQ Foundation, in partnership with Ethiopia's FIDA (Friendship for Integrated Development Association), founded by Assegid, opened a new kindergarten in the fall of 2011 and now sponsors 200 children and their families every year. Upcoming projects in Ethiopia include support for abandoned elderly, the expansion of a women's empowerment program, and the construction of a school and community center in a remote area outside of Addis Ababa.
