In 1980, on Halloween morning, nurse Sally Isaac made a chilling discovery atop Brandon Hill in Bristol: the battered body of Derek Grain, a mild-mannered visitor to the city.

Shockingly, Derek had been bludgeoned to death with a sand-filled traffic cone. Despite being in Bristol for only two months, Derek's last moments were traced to a night of heavy drinking in local nightclubs. Robbery seemed the likely motive, as Derek's jacket was torn off and money stolen from his pockets.

Despite numerous leads, including sightings of a mysterious red Jaguar and a group of youths, the killer remained elusive.
