Episode 9:
Injuries, regrets and scoring in the derby.
Despite being a born and bred City fan, Jon Macken started his career with Manchester United in the mid 90's, playing as a teenager in a youth side whilst the club was under the tutelage of Sir Alex Ferguson.
In 1997, Jon made a very successful move to Preston North End under David Moyes, helping the club secure promotion to the old Division One in the 1999/2000 season, which earned him a £5 million move to his boyhood club, Manchester City in 2002.
Jon went on to have a long and storied career at Crystal Palace, Derby County, Barnsley, Walsall and Stockport County, as well as earning a cap for Republic of Ireland in 2004.
Jon is now a manager, at Radcliffe Borough, he spoke to us about his difficulties with injuries, some regrets about his time at Manchester City and Crystal Palace.
Oh, and he once scored in a Manchester derby, in a 4-1 win for the blue side of Manchester.
