Ep 73 The Stanford Prison Experiment

Future is Bright?

May 18 2022 • 43 mins

Welcome back to The Future is Bright? This week Bridget tells Lindsay about the very real Stanford Prison Experiment. This is an experiment to see how prisoners and guards interact with one another and the influence of power. This was done with college kids who were randomly assigned to be a prisoner or a guard in this fake prison. The "prisoners" were treated as such by the guards. It was supposed to last 14 days but only ended up last 6 because of the effect the power struggle had on everyone. Ethics is not something that was thought about in this situation and a lot changed because of this. Tune in this week to learn all about this pretty crazy experiment
