79- One Dollar At A Time (Edward Muller aka Mr. 880)

This week on MMAP, we're talking money... Dollar bills to be exact. Edward Muller whose wife had recently passed away found himself struggling financially after his wife's death. So, he figured he'd use the basic engraving technique's that he'd learned as a kid to make metal engraving plates in order to be able to print his own money. But, he never printed anything other than one dollar bills, and he never used them for anything than the bare bone basic necessities that he needed to survive, but couldn't afford. Edward Muller was labeled "Mr. 880" by the investigators on the team of Secret Service men, who tried tracking down this Counterfeiting mastermind for an entire decade. For a whole decade, investigators had no idea who was behind the ungodly bad counterfeit one dollar bills that were circulating around the New York area. And, perhaps Edward would have gotten away with it all together, if it wasn't for those meddling kids!
