Plans have been revealed to start the process of trying to bring the Tour de France back, as well as the World Athletics Championships, to this country. The announcement of 70 global events in 32 sports inc 18 World Championships was made at the London Stadium in Stratford by UK Sport - the Government agency responsible for funding elite sport, as well as leading the planning for Major Events.
