By the time The Right Time with Bomani Jones podcast debuted in 2015, the host was already ESPN royalty. Jones is a frequent champ on the sports network's Around the Horn competitive panel show. He cohosted Highly Questionable with Dan Le Batard. And he spent some time copiloting High Noon with Pablo Torre. Sports fans rank Jones with ESPN favorites like Stephen A. Smith.
In the TV sports world, Jones went on to host HBO's Game Theory with Bomani Jones in 2022. But he still delivers his incomparable analysis of all aspects of the sports world on The Right Time. Jones approaches the job with an approach HBO Sports colleague Bob Costas admires. As Costas told The Ringer, Jones is a "lucid thinker" whose points "have a beginning, middle, and end." In today's sports opinion culture, that kind of precise, measured thinking can be rare.
Jones sometimes changes up The Right Time's publishing schedule. Usually, though, the show posts every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Fridays are a particular fan favorite, as retired NFL cornerback Domonique Foxworth cohosts. His success alongside Jones led to the former Bronco, Falcon, and Raven hosting his own ESPN podcast, The Domonique Foxworth Show.
Jones is an Atlanta native and a University of North Carolina master's graduate. Before moving to Sirius to host The Morning Jones show, he was a radio personality and sports writer. His success on satellite radio led to a fateful foot in the door at ESPN as an Outside the Lines contributor.
