Policing across the world provides many challenges, none more so than in Nepal. Home to the famous city of Katmandu and the Mt Everest summit thousands of tourist flock to Nepal each year to experience its stunning scenery and explore its many mountain ranges.
In this episode we sit down and speak with former Nepalese police commander Durga Kunwar (retd. DIG). He served in the Armed Police Force, Nepal, for 20 years and experienced more than his fair share of challenges during his career.
From policing on the front lines of local terrorism in the form of the Maoist insurgency, being in charge of the protection of Nepal's royal family and to heading up the rescue efforts of the worst natural disaster to hit the region, as he was deputy metropolitan Commander in Kathmandu during 2015 mega earthquake.
It is truly an honor to welcome Durga Kunwar to Protect and Serve.
