How Do I Know the Audio Quality of Content I Am Listening to?

With Amazon Music Unlimited, you can listen to songs in SD, HD, Ultra HD, Dolby Atmos, or 360 reality Audio when available.

To view the following streaming details, select the SD/HD/Ultra HD/Dolby Atmos/360 Reality Audio badge on the Now Playing screen:

  • Audio Quality - The quality of the currently playing song. Network conditions and/or device capabilities impact audio quality.
  • Song Quality - The highest quality available for that song in the Amazon Music Unlimited catalog.
  • Device - Shows the device that is playing the audio as well as the quality of the audio as it passes through your device. Network conditions or streaming settings also affect the quality.
  • Output - Refers to the headphones, speakers, or external DAC connected to the device. Output also shows the quality of the song that is playing.

When the song is available in Dolby Atmos or 360 Reality Audio, you’ll be able to switch between Atmos/360 and stereo.

To switch between Atmos/360 and stereo, swipe on the streaming information or tap the toggle at the bottom of the screen.
