Download Music for Offline Playback Using the Android App

Amazon Music Unlimited members can download songs, albums, and Playlists to listen offline.

Customers using Amazon Music with Prime can only download All-Access Playlists to listen offline. Customers using Amazon Music Unlimited can download songs, albums, and Playlists to listen offline.

Note: All-Access Playlists that have been recently listened to will be downloaded automatically. To avoid automatic downloads based on data preferences, turn off the "Auto-download All-Access Playlists" option in the settings.
  1. Go to My library and select the playlist filter button at the top
  2. Select the song, album, or Playlist you want to download.
  3. Select the overflow menu , and select Download.

Amazon Music Unlimited members can download songs, albums, and Playlists in Standard quality, HD, Ultra HD, or Spatial Audio, to listen offline in these formats.

Helpful Tips:

  • Downloaded Amazon Music Unlimited songs are only accessible within the Amazon Music app.
  • It’s not possible to export songs for use on other apps and devices.
  • You can't copy downloaded Amazon Music Unlimited songs onto CDs or other external storage.
  • High-quality audio files are larger and take up more space on your device.

To play downloaded songs without using mobile data:

  • Download your songs in Best Available quality.
  • Turn on Stream only on Wi-Fi to prevent streaming while on a cellular network.
  • Select Play downloads first in settings to play the downloaded version of a song instead of trying to stream it.
