What Is HD and Ultra HD Audio?

If you subscribe to Amazon Music Unlimited, you can listen to 75 million songs in High Definition (HD) and millions of songs in Ultra High Definition (Ultra HD) for no extra charge.

You can listen to HD and Ultra HD music on Echo devices, Sonos speakers, Fire TV, iOS, Android, Desktop, and more.

Note: Amazon Music Single-Device Plan doesn’t have access to HD, Ultra HD, and Spatial Audio.

HD and Ultra HD playback is supported on the Amazon Music app for PC and Mac but not the Web Player. Actual experience depends on device and network.

A growing catalog of Spatial Audio mastered in Dolby Atmos and 360 Reality Audio is also available. You can listen to Spatial Audio through the iOS or Android Amazon Music app with any headphones. You can also cast from any source to select smart speakers, such as the Echo Studio, Sony SRS-RA3000, and Sony SRS-RA5000.

HD audio quality is more than double the quality of standard quality streaming services. Ultra HD audio quality is up to 10 times the quality of standard quality streaming services.
