Dr Devika Patel is an NHS junior doctor completing her specialty training in Psychiatry. Outside of work, her passions lie in reducing mental health stigma and developing her knowledge of personal development. She has crafted these passions into a podcast, where guest shares their life stories of mental illness to human flourishing, and has also recently launched an intentional living membership programme.

In this episode we go through her journey from what it was like growing up as a British gujarati, why she chose medicine as a career, how she met her husband, what the future holds and a lot lot more.

She provides us with an excellent account what a psychiatrist does and how this differs from a psychologist and we discuss how we can stop the stigma attached around mental health.

Devika was a delight to talk to and I'm looking forward to seeing what the future holds for her.
