In this episode of Life Curious Women, host Ashley Nadine Lopez interviews Maia Alejandro, the founder of FOR TMRW and a former mental health clinician. FOR TMRW creates functional art objects and design-forward beauty products for an at-home spa experience. She created FOR TMRW to celebrate her family, elevate the perception of her Caribbean roots in the world, and bring clean beauty to the broader BIPOC community. She grew up spending weekends with her tías learning to paint nails, make face masks, and even pluck a few eyebrows. These moments at her grandmother’s house are some of her favorite childhood memories. After a major health scare and difficult time learning about clean beauty products, she decided to bridge her background as a mental health clinician with her broader learnings about clean beauty, to share what she had learned with her community.
