We are Loba and Lizard, two witches from the mountains of Appalachia. This podcast is about showing up for ourselves in ways that are not stressful and overwhelming. 6 Witches Work IN - Sleepless in Spring (Showing Up Anyway)
Hello witches! In this episode, we are talking about the fact that we are witches that are NOT currently working out. Lots of crazy life stuff has been happening, largely centered around not sleeping, and things have been difficult. But we have always said that showing up is more important than showing up perfectly, so here we are! We talk about Loba's new look, body image struggles, and the importance of being around people who will lift you up. As usual, you'll find a discussion of Lizard's animal adventures and an update on the kittens she's been bottle feeding as we discuss how similarly disgusting the weaning process is for all species (humans included) establish that The Turd in the Milk Plate is a new metaphor. We talked a bit about our second photoshoot with Black Sheep Productions, and we're sharing our first photo from that shoot with all of you! We'll link to that organization again so you can check them out if you want! We discuss a metaphor about the Japanese snack onigiri, wherein it's harder for us to see what makes us special, but others see things at don't. This is from Fruits Basket, which is a surprisingly deep manga that Lizard highly recommends. Finally, we talked about ways to fight back sadness and 'the darkness' with something you really love, such as an awesome outfit or something that makes you happy. How are things going with you? What are some of your own coping strategies when things aren't going as swimmingly as you might hope? What do you do when you (like Loba) abruptly draw The Tower in a tarot reading that matches your life? We would love to see your favorite 'fighting the darkness' looks, and if you're using any tools/apps to keep an eye on your sleep, habits, or fitness.

Inner and Outer Witchy Work with Keeping Her Keys
Hey witches, we did a cool thing! Dr. Cyndi Brannen of Keeping Her Keys invited us to be on her podcast to talk about movement and aligning our physical being and magickal practice, and we have the finished interview to share with you! You've probably heard us talk about really liking her work, so you can probably imagine that we were super excited for this opportunity! (Read: we went into total fangirl mode haha) If you enjoyed this conversation and want to check out Dr. Brannen's site/books/etc go to www.keepingherkeys.com From Dr Cyndi Brannen:  In this "moving" conversation, I'm joined by Neesheta Patram-Arenson, Covina Movement Instructor, and the fabulous hosts from The Witches Workin/out podcast. We touch upon so many aspects of being an embodied witch, from grief in the body to the deeper aspects of exercise. There's a short meditation for returning to the body. too. Neesheta highlights the power of movement in healing, while Witches Working Out encourages listeners to use witchy practices while in the gym or engaging in physical activity. Trigeminal neuralgia is discussed along with taking up space with an imperfect body, self-care, grief and loss and breaking up with perfectionism. Finally, the importance of trusting our intuition and body while finding enjoyable forms of physical activity is emphasized, encouraging listeners to embrace the Temple of Good Enough.
