As Director of Behavioral Health Services at St. Luke's, Carol Meade is passionate about mental health services. She's served the community for over 30 years, and worked at St. Luke's Hospital for the majority of her career.

Her passion for mental health care comes is evident in her work and in the accolades she receives. She was recently honored by Waypoint Services' Women of Achievement in Service to the Community. Three words that describe her are Resilient, Empathic, and Determined.

She's also one of my best friends and golfing buddy. We've solved many problems on the golf course and usually over "swing oil." At the end of our conversation, she "flips the script" and asks ME a question about what's next for me. I'm blessed to have friends who support and encourage me in my current transition.

One of the things we discussed on the golf course is a retreat she runs called Reigniting the Spirit of Caring... she just lights up when she describes it. I wish every company had this program, and someone like Carol to implement it.
