Heather Kalous is a high school PE teacher who believes kids need 2 skills to be successful in life: to know how to read and to be a good human. She teaches the latter through exercises and by example. You'll love hearing about:

  • her Character and Leadership Class
  • how she brings in community leaders for collaborations and teaching moments
  • opportunities to prepare for life lessons, including an exercise where students write letters to someone important in their lives

Hear how we met and connected over a shared love of wine and the Iowa State Cyclones.

You'll also be inspired by her love of running and how she runs for Team Teal, honoring her mother and raising funds for other women and families affected by a cancer diagnosis.
