One third of the food we produce globally is wasted.  We are facing food shortages worldwide, but we actually produce enough calories to feed everyone on the planet.  If that's not reason enough to solve the food waste problem, think about this - 8% of global greenhouse gas emissions come from food waste.  For context, the airline industry produced 2.5%
