Shifting the focus back to the Oilers, the hosts walked the audience through Edmonton's rollercoaster weekend. From a disappointing performance in Buffalo on Saturday to a satisfying rebound against the Penguins on Sunday, the inconsistency in their game was undeniably frustrating.

The guys then discussed what the Vegas Golden Knights were able to do at the trade deadline, with Mark Stone and Alec Martinez both being added to the LTIR. That led to a discussion about whether or not the NHL needs to close that loophole, given how often it's been used over the last handful of years.
