Self-Love Beyond the Ego’s Limitations

Self-Love Beyond the Ego’s Limitations
In this episode of Finding Love in the Chaos of Life, Jacqui and Tanagh unpack the 9th topic of the #DaretoBeLove Journey: SELF-LOVE. SELF-LOVE, a topic that’s gaining increasing popularity, is not just a vanity project. It is a profound process of accessing full connection with our individual Spirit to connect with the Spiritual essence that resides in all others, allowing us to see and feel that we are united as Universal Spirit. SELF-LOVE is the first topic within STEP 4, the final step of the #DaretoBeLove Journey – HOW TO CONNECT WITH ALL OTHERS. In this episode, we discuss the importance of connecting to and with our SPIRIT, our born-to nature that only knows Love, by creating a connection with our Higher Power to live a life of present-moment Joy. When we are connected with Universal Spirit, self-love flows naturally. This journey is about discovering and nurturing our individual Spiritual essence, a process that is unique to each of us. That is why self-awareness and self-care are so critical; with these practices firmly in place, we can connect with our individual Spiritual essence. Self-care and self-awareness practices can take many forms, from meditation to journaling, yoga, quality sleep, psychotherapy, coaching, prayer, gratitude, connecting with nature, healthy eating etc. Sometimes, that shows up in declining plans with friends, and sometimes, that shows up as prioritising making plans to see friends. Perhaps for you, that shows up as committing to going on a solo walk through the forest however many times a week, and it may mean taking as many rest days on your couch at home as you need. That's the thing about self-care and self-awareness – it varies intensely depending on your personal needs, which we can only truly access from a space of joy, despite life's chaos, when connected to our individual Spirit. These actions and inactions help us fill up our own cup continuously, allowing us to step into the world connected to Love for Self, all others, and all things. Here, we work with and observe our SPOKEN WORDS as our way of BEING in the world.

How True Will Fosters Love

How True Will Fosters Love
TRUE WILL is the 7th topic of the #DaretoBeLove Journey and the 1st topic of STEP 3: HOW TO LOVE YOURSELF. We will be working on stepping beyond the fear of our Shadows.True Will is a crucial step when trying to foster and open to Being Love, especially when attempting to do this in the face or presence of another. True Will comes from the heart; it is a vulnerable yet courageous space where our individual perspective and truth can be present alongside that of another. For example: When in an altercation with another, at what point during the discussion or sharing process do you feel the calmest? Odds are, it’s in the space after you have shared your most raw, vulnerable and authentic truth of the situation and felt seen and heard, and not when your unhealthy ego (shadow element) has tried to manipulate your truth or that of another in such a way that you feel you have won the argument. You can also achieve this by affording another this space to share, merely holding the moment in silence, and letting go of all desired responses. This art of sharing and listening is how we open to True Will, allowing us also to be present for the situation, our perspective and that of another with Love and non-resistance.In this episode, Jacqui and Tanagh explore the differences between True Will and Truth while sharing their own experiences with opening up to True Will. They unpack ways you move into a space of True Will, discussing tools so that you too can communicate and act in this way with others, whether they be your loved ones, family, friends or foes.

From an early age, Kenny was battling to prove his worth in a traditional schooling system and with his family. This limiting belief silently followed Kenny through his career and adulting years, often holding him back from reaching his true purpose. Forgive Yourself for Wanting a Different Experience

Forgive Yourself for Wanting a Different Experience
Join Jacqui and Tanagh as they unpack the third step of the #DaretoBeLove Journey: Forgiveness. From an early age, most of us are taught that forgiving others is the ‘right’ thing to do. While we don’t oppose this notion, an even deeper step is necessary to heal from a situation where we feel wrong-done by. This step requires Forgiving Yourself for Wanting a Different Experience. This way, we can own the experience, celebrate the wisdom it affords us, grow and heal.Sometimes, terrible things happen to us at the hands of other people or circumstances. When we acknowledge that each person is merely acting out their trauma patterns because of their past experiences, we can step into the space of Love and realise that forgiving another is an act of kindness, not an act of unconditional Love. Forgiving ourselves for wanting a different experience, frees us from judging the other or the circumstance, surrendering our will to grace and compassion. This act of Love allows us to let the pain through and let go of our ego attachment to the story. It can sound cliché, but everything truly does happen for a reason and by changing our perspective, we can start to see these pain experiences as gifts. As Viktor Frankl so wisely said, ‘When we are no longer able to change a situation, we are challenged to change ourselves.’Jacqui and Tanagh share their personal stories of adopting this philosophy into their lives, and their struggles in doing so.

Give Your Suffering a Voice
Guest: Harmony Kwiker from Colorado, USA.Trigger Warning: Eating Disorders (ED), Suicide Ideation (SI) and Near-Death Experiences (NDEs).Despite having wonderful parents, who worked as healers, Harmony experienced a NDE at the tender age of 5 months, causing her to suffer and influencing the person who she became. After another traumatic experience at age 4, Harmony started to feel unsafe in the world causing her to set aside her own suffering to accommodate the perspective of how others thought she should be in the world. Adopting the role of a shapeshifter, Harmony attracted abusive relationships, allowing everyone around her to believe she was always okay. After starting the practice of transcendental meditation at age 6, Harmony glimpsed at her future self and knew she was here to be a healer, a teacher, and an author. Despite this clarity, Harmony fell asleep to this message and went spiritually cold.Suffering from SI, ED and depression in her early 20s, Harmony awakened to the knowledge that her voice mattered. This reawakening led Harmony to own her pain experience and reconnect with her True Self. Her new book, ‘Align: Living and Loving from the True Self’ is now available. As a psychotherapist and author, Harmony is visiting instructor at Naropa University, where she teaches mindfulness-based transpersonal Gestalt counselling. She is also the founder of the Institute for Spiritual Alignment, where she trains therapists and coaches to bridge the divide between traditional and spiritual transformation.Listen to how Harmony educates us on the Unconscious Death Urge and Life Urge, a term coined by breath worker Leonard Orr in the 70s’.
