Let Your Suffering Be The Catalyst of Your Change

Finding Love in the Chaos of Life

Jul 3 2023 • 46 mins

Guest: Yoda Olinyk from Ontario, Canada.

Yoda thought she had it all: Opening a restaurant in Canada, which quickly became successful, each day she come home to the house she owned and loved, a loving partner and their canine children. And then, a series of traumatic events hit her. Life as she knew it vanished in the blink of an eye. In her early 30s’ Yoda found herself sleeping on her father’s couch, in steep financial turmoil, facing addiction and other mental health complications, and running from a partner she thought she knew.

Yoda shares her Be Love story of resilience and her recipe for starting over.

For Yoda starting from scratch meant waking up alone and sorting through the losses that had vanished: her home, her partner, her dog, her life savings, her restaurant, and her self-worth. Yoda shares the story of her turbulent relationship and the restaurant that caused her to lose so much, including herself. Instead of sugar-coating the process and promising everything will get tied up in a sparkly bow, Yoda details how complicated and unravelling starting over really feels. For Yoda, it was through a combination of facing the hard truths about her relationship and making amends with the people she had wronged. Traveling to Europe, she finds a way to start from scratch in life, love, words, and food and come home.
