Episode 122: Taking Risks Puts Us in Constant Dependence On the Lord

Your Biggest Breakthrough

Sep 19 2023 • 22 mins

Wendie and Todd both traveled to San Diego, CA recently, and while there caught up with Justin Maina, a self-described "fear hunter" (see a link to our interview with Justin below).

Justin led us on an adventure that would strike legitimate fear into most people - us included. But we made it through okay, and the entire experience made us think about how we're so often driven by fear when calculating risks in our lives.

We asked ourselves questions like:

  • Why do we so often assume the absolute worst is going to happen when making decisions?
  • If we're making a decision believing God will have our back, is it really a risk at all?
  • How can we strengthen our faith in God so that some of the natural fear we experience when making decisions will dissipate a bit?

We decided to sit down and record a podcast for you all on this topic. We hope you enjoy it, and come away from it encouraged in God's ability to deliver us from that which we fear when we walk trusting in Him.

In this episode you'll discover:

-Wendie and Todd went through a major risk while visiting San Diego...03:30

-What is God showing you regarding the risk you're taking?...09:00

-We tend to go to the negative things when weighing outcomes...12:45

-Fear is rooted in not trusting God to deliver you from your trial...17:00

-And much more...
