Watson scores the run on Milt May’s three-run homer, as part of the Astros’ 8-6 loss to the San Francisco Giants in the first game of a doubleheader. He scored seconds ahead of Dave Concepción of the Cincinnati Reds, playing in a different game in another city, to earn the distinction.
