Yoga Nidra for Sailors is a method of gaining deep relaxation without needing to sleep, it can also help sailors also obtain deeper levels of sleep and a greater feeling of rest.

Is it just for chicks? No. This was taught to me by a hard-drinking Ex SF dude who had discovered a method to manage pain from injuries.  I used it for pain management also but found it left me feeling fully rested.

I've been using it for sailing ever since.
