Today, we're looking at the fourth trait of the Big 5 Personality Scale - Neuroticism. Neuroticism is rooted in sensitivity to negative emotion and the detection of threat.

People who are high in neuroticism are more likely to experience negative emotion such as depression, anxiety, anger, frustration and stress than their low counterparts.

Neuroticism is broken down into two sub-traits: withdrawal and volatility.

We're answering three questions: What is neuroticism? What are the advantages/disadvantages of high neuroticism? And what are the advantages/disadvantages of low neuroticism? ---
