Sea Monsters have been with us since humans began venturing out into unknown waters. These denizen of the deep are known to have devoured sailors. They can be revenge seeking creatures of destruction.  Comely maidens have been sacrificed to satisfy some dark, primitive obsession lurking within them. And movies have been fascinated by them.
