Agriculture is the pillar of the country. In Cambodia, agriculture contributes almost 27% of Cambodia’s GDP and around 31% of the workforce is employed in this sector. With the recent trade agreements such as China and Korea's FTA and the UK's Generalised Scheme of Preference (GSP), top agricultural export products are anticipated to immensely increase their export demand.  However, the local agricultural industry still faces several problems and remains less competitive on a global level.
