Dr. Al-Hamad is an Assistant Professor at the Daphne Cockwell School of Nursing at Toronto Metropolitan University and an adjunct professor at the University of Calgary in Canada and Qatar. She holds two doctorate degrees: the first in Rural and Northern Health from Laurentian University and the second in Nursing from the University of Western Ontario. Her research program focuses on social justice and the intersectionality of healthcare for equity deserving populations, including women and refugees.
