Sang is the co-founder & CEO of Peko, Western Canada's first delivery service for “imperfect” and surplus groceries to fight food waste and improve access to healthy diets. Born and raised in Vietnam, Sang moved to Canada to attend the University of British Columbia in 2017. Before founding Peko three years later, Sang worked in product management and marketing at various companies such as Cisco, LinkedIn, Clearco, and Jupiter (YC S19). Currently, Sang is a Marketing Manager at Fresh Prep and continues to lead Peko under its parent company. In other projects, Sang helped LinkedIn and UBC pilot free e-learning access for all 60,000+ students, creating educational equity across faculties. Sang also led the marketing portfolio to promote free academic support for 5,000+ Commerce students and consulted for various companies through the Creative Destruction Lab, Kantar Consulting and the UBC Strategy Consulting Initiative. Aside from her work, Sang is especially passionate about breaking glass ceilings, experiential learning, traveling, and coffee.
