Batteries are being used in all households.  There has been a considerable increase in the usage of batteries . The number of applications has increased not only in industries but in domestic applications as well. The electric vehicles is ushering a new application that will mark a revolutionary increase in the battery usage.

EVs are considered green vehicles as there will be zero emissions due to their operations. Since batteries will be replacing internal combustion engines and they become the powerhouse of the vehicles , it is interesting to understand the process from an energy efficiency perspective.
