In today’s episode of the First Faith Community Church podcast, I did a sermon on the divine message that it is never too late for Jesus. Jesus Christ keeps on making a way and we need to have faith and keep on believing in order to allow him into our hearts.
Today’s reading is taken from the Book of Luke, chapter 8, verses 41-42 and 49-50, which tells the story of the healing of the daughter of Jairus. Jairus was an elder at the synagogue but was suffering greatly because his daughter lay dying. He beesched Jesus to heal his daughter, but a poor woman who was sick stepped in front of Jairus and asked to be healed first. Jairus then had to wait for Jesus to move on to his daughter, and in the meantime his daughter died. However, Jesus still went to Jairus’ house and brought the girl back to life. This shows us that we need to be humble in the face of God and accept His plan, because even though He may not be healing us in the way that we want to be healed, He will heal us. We need to trust in Jesus and place our faith in Him, because it’s never too late for Jesus.
The sermon ends with a closing prayer for all those who feel that it’s too late for Jesus, that they may be saved and comforted by the love of God.
