First Faith Community Church - I Wanna Get Right With God
In today’s episode of the First Faith Community Church podcast, I deliver the message on the importance of getting right with God. We all have a personal relationship with God, but if we make mistakes and put ourselves before God, we need to fix it and ask God for His forgiveness.  Today’s reading is taken from the Book of Psalms  51, verses 10-12, which tells the story of Nathan the Prophet coming to David. Nathan asks for God’s forgiveness, so that he can be absolved of his sins and renew his relationship with the Lord. This shows us that if we want to get right with God, we must first confess our sins and then ask for forgiveness in the name of Jesus.   The sermon ends with a closing prayer to thank God for His love and care for us, that we may know Him and live by His word through His son, Jesus Christ.    Timestamps   [04:10] A reading from Psalms 51:10-12 (King James Version) [04:55] The message of today's sermon: getting right with God [05:42] A prayer to Jesus for his pardon, mercy, forgiveness and salvation [09:00] Jesus forgave our sins [09:50] God ain't through with you, even if you’re born again [10:29] David’s encounter with his friend Nathan [13:56] I need to get right with God [16:04] Have you tainted your relationship with the Lord?  [18:30] How to get right with God [22:16] The iniquities in my life [25:20] Asking for forgiveness right now [29:05] God’s works for us today in the earthly world [31:17] We can ask for redemption through God’s son Jesus Christ [38:33] Jesus’ resurrection on Sunday [39:29] A prayer to thank God that He has given us the ability to know and love Him   Links and contact details  First Faith Community Church podcast If you would like to get in touch with the First Faith Community Church, please email: 1stf8hcome2church@gmail.com   The Objective=To encourage a personal spiritual look at your own self.
Everything Is Gonna Be Alright

Everything Is Gonna Be Alright
In today’s episode of the First Faith Community Church podcast, I give a spiritual Chiristian meditation on the nature of suffering and endurance. The sermon is taken from the Book of Mark, chapter 13, verses 6-13, where Jesus describes some of the suffering that we may see, from wars to earthquakes and famines, all of which will bring much sorrow to mankind. However, we should not lose our faith and despair during these times of sorrow, because everything is going to be alright. Christians should remember the story of Christ’s suffering on the cross and how he died to save humanity, and follow the example that He set for us. Jesus endured his suffering to the end and was rewarded in Heaven, as Christians will be if they endure their suffering on earth to the end. I explain what true endurance looks like and how we can endure, knowing in our hearts that everything will be alright. This episode ends with a closing prayer, asking our Lord God for the strength to endure our troubles to the end, remaining faithful, focused and fearless, so that we can receive His blessings in the afterlife. Stop Minimizing Your Mess

Stop Minimizing Your Mess
In today’s episode of the First Faith Community Church podcast, I speak on God’s message of mercy through Jesus Christ. We need to receive God’s mercy to allow us to be forgiven for our mess, or our sins, no matter how hard we try to hide our sins from God. The sermon is taken from the Second Book of Samuel, chapter 12, verses 1-7, which tells the story of the prophet Nathan sermonizing to King David. Even though Nathan was a lowly prophet, God chose him to speak the Word of the Lord to David, because we all need to hear God’s message to prevent us from straying from His path. David had become used to living as a sinner and needed to be brought back to the light by Nathan. I use this story to remind listeners that minimizing our own mess and only focusing on the mess of others is a sign that we need to get our own houses in order. We should focus on our own relationship with God and try to live a righteous life before judging others. If we take our mess to Jesus, we can be cleansed and walk again by God’s side. We end the sermon with a closing prayer for God’s forgiveness, and a recognition of the immense sacrifice that Jesus Christ made at Calvary to bring us back to His glory. Try Jesus

Try Jesus
In today’s episode of the First Faith Community Church podcast, I did an sermon on the importance of trying Jesus.  Sometimes we forget about the importance of God in our lives and try to exist without His guidance and help. When we’re struggling, we should turn to God, recognize Him as our Father and ask for Him to lead us. This is particularly important when it comes to our children, who we should bring to God through our prayers. I read from the Book of Luke, chapter 9, verses 37-42, in which Jesus saves a boy who has been struck by a demon. The father cries out for Jesus, begging for his help. Jesus cast the evil spirit out of the boy and healed him, handing him back to his father. This shows us that we should bring our own children to God and ask for God to watch over them. When we need help, we should always try Jesus first. Jesus holds almighty power and can help us, but will only be there for us if we keep trying Him and never give up. We end with a closing prayer to thank God for sending us Jesus so that we may be saved, and ask God to bring our children to Him so that they may try and know Jesus too. Sin Ain’t Worth Your Soul

Sin Ain’t Worth Your Soul
In today’s episode of the First Faith Community Church podcast, I give a timely reminder that sin ain’t worth your soul. Reading from the Book of Luke, chapter 9, verses 23-26, I discuss what it means to follow Jesus and to reject a life of sin. In this passage of the Bible, Jesus tells us that anyone who wants to be a disciple must deny themselves to place God at the center of their lives. When we follow Jesus it doesn’t matter who we are, as our faith is the only thing that matters. Once we have denied ourselves and chosen to follow Jesus, we must take up our cross daily and reaffirm our commitment to the Lord. We must prepare ourselves for persecution and ask for the Lord’s help to weather the hatred and scorn of those around us. We should not retaliate, because it would cause us to sin and damage our eternal souls. Instead, we should be faithful disciples and witness the Lord whenever and wherever we can, choosing to love the kingdom of God over the ways of the earthly world. We end with a closing prayer to thank God for sending us Jesus to wash the sins away from our souls. Stay Focused

Stay Focused
In today’s episode of the First Faith Community Church podcast, I talk about the importance of staying focused and keeping God at the center of our lives. Even though we may face troubling times and feel as if we are lost, we should focus on God and place our trust in Him. The reading for the sermon is taken from the Book of Matthew, chapter 14, verses 27-32, which tells the story of the disciples on a boat on the sea when a storm hits. The night falls and the disciples are afraid and call out to Jesus. Jesus comes to their aid, walking on the sea. He stretches out his hand to Peter and asks him to leave the boat and walk across the water and Peter obeys, but loses focus and starts to sink. This shows us that in order to overcome the difficulties we face in our own lives, we need to focus on the Lord and on the power of Jesus. The sermon ends with a closing prayer to thank God that, even though in the midst of our storm, we can still know and love Him and stay focused on His message and His eternal love. How To Win This Battle We’re In
In today’s episode of the First Faith Community Church podcast, I discuss how we can overcome our personal battles with the help of the almighty God. We all have struggles in our lives that can overwhelm us, but it is important to remember that God has wisdom and guidance that He will share with us, if only we ask him. Today’s reading is taken from the Book of 2 Chronicles, chapter 20, verses 13-15, where the Spirit of the Lord descends from the heavens to talk to Jahaziel. The spirit reminds Jahaziel and the gathered crowd of the people of Judah that their battles do not belong to them, but instead belong to God. This shows us that when we are overcome with our own problems, we can confess our sins and hand our problems over to the Lord, asking for his guidance and assistance to take care of us. God sent his only son Jesus Christ to the world to die for our sins, so that we may find salvation through him. This sacrifice shows us that God loves us and is willing to help us fight. The sermon ends with a closing prayer to thank the Lord for helping and keeping us, and for sending us Jesus Christ as an example of how to lead our lives and win our battles. There’s Still Some Good News.
In today’s episode of the First Faith Community Church podcast, I share the good news with you. It can be easy to feel like there’s no room for good news in today’s political climate, but as Born Again Christians, we need to remember the good news of Christ and focus on living righteously. Today’s reading is taken from the Book of Philippians, chapter 4, verses 8-9, which is Paul’s letter to the Romans from prison, which is a position that many of us can relate to at the moment after a long period of lockdown. Paul reminds his brethren that there is still good news because we can rejoice in the Lord. Paul gives advice that we should heed: that instead of thinking of all the bad news, we should focus on the good news and only dwell on thoughts that are true, honest, just, pure, lovely, virtuous and worthy of praise. We can set aside our worldly concerns and give them to God and focus only on the good news of Jesus Christ. This will bring us closer to God and will help us to lead good, Christian lives. The sermon ends with a closing prayer to thank God for his good news and to ask him to renew our hearts and minds with His almighty power. Don’t Forget What Jesus Did For You
In today’s episode of the First Faith Community Church podcast, I remind you of what Jesus did for us, and that we can live in hope thanks to the Word of the Lord. Jesus loves us and keeps us free from worries and strife, because He shall protect us. I read to you from the Book of Titus, chapter 3, verses 3-4, which was written by Paul to Titus. Paul tells Titus not to worry about the sin in the world, because we were all sinners once. We all used to live in sin before we heard the Word of God, and were consumed with lust, envy and deceit. It is for this reason that we should give the opportunity to others to hear the Word so that they too can be saved. By shining God’s light into the dark and sinful world we live in, we can help others to leave the darkness. In the closing prayer, we thank God for sending us Jesus and ask Him to allow us to be His light in the world. We ask God to take pity on sinners and thank Him for saving us by allowing us to be born again in Jesus’ name. It’s Never Too Late For Jesus

It’s Never Too Late For Jesus
In today’s episode of the First Faith Community Church podcast, I did  a sermon on the divine message that it is never too late for Jesus. Jesus Christ keeps on making a way and we need to have faith and keep on believing in order to allow him into our hearts. Today’s reading is taken from the Book of Luke, chapter 8, verses 41-42 and 49-50, which tells the story of the healing of the daughter of Jairus. Jairus was an elder at the synagogue but was suffering greatly because his daughter lay dying. He beesched Jesus to heal his daughter, but a poor woman who was sick stepped in front of Jairus and asked to be healed first. Jairus then had to wait for Jesus to move on to his daughter, and in the meantime his daughter died. However, Jesus still went to Jairus’ house and brought the girl back to life. This shows us that we need to be humble in the face of God and accept His plan, because even though He may not be healing us in the way that we want to be healed, He will heal us. We need to trust in Jesus and place our faith in Him, because it’s never too late for Jesus. The sermon ends with a closing prayer for all those who feel that it’s too late for Jesus, that they may be saved and comforted by the love of God.
