His expertise is widely recognized, with his research being featured in esteemed international psychological journals including Intelligence, Cognitive Science, Current Directions in Psychological Science, Human Brain Mapping, and Developmental Psychology.

Prof. Campitelli's research focus spans the fascinating domains of expertise and decision-making. He dives deep into understanding the cognitive mechanisms that underpin problem-solving, including memory, imagery, and critical thinking, all of which contribute to processes like Bayesian reasoning and effective decision-making. Notably, he co-founded the Journal of Expertise in 2018 and continues to play a pivotal role as its co-Editor.
