College Accreditation - The biggest regulatory capture you probably haven’t thought about

Fundamental Opposites

Jan 17 2023 • 51 mins

Episode air date: January 17th 2023

In this episode I discuss the college accreditation system, what it is, and how the state has used it as a mechanism to control the flow of information in the modern western world. I discuss why accreditation harms the free market and what would be alternatives.

I use a piece by Robert Kelchen from the Urban Institute to center this discussion. While I disagree with Robert's writing I am greatly appreciative of this well written piece from 2017.
