Here's what to expect on the podcast:
Meet Guest, Mariam Adam:
Born and raised against the backdrop of Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania, East Africa, Mariam's life story is a tapestry woven with threads of faith, passion, strong women, and an unyielding spirit to give back while empowering others.
Mariam's journey began with aspirations in nursing, only to discover that her true calling lay beyond the realm of blood and bandages. A swift pivot led her into the dynamic world of travel and tourism, propelling her into the airline industry. As one of the pioneering staff members in launching Gulf Air in East Africa, Kenya, and Tanzania, the experiences laid the foundation for a significant future role alongside her sister, Zainab.
Currently based in Toronto, Canada, Mariam is not just a devoted wife and mother but also a catalyst for positive change in her community. Her philanthropic efforts uplift women, children, and families in low-income neighborhoods, while she empowers women to excel in their careers.
But her work does not end there. Mariam is also a key player in showcasing the beauty of Tanzania through Zara Tours, an adventure tour company founded in 1986 and owned and operated by her sister, the legendary Mama Zara. Mariam is extremely passionate in working with this legacy-driven travel company that takes part in social good, makes positive impacts through Zara Charity in Tanzania, and helps its customers experience Tanzania’s natural wonders, cultural riches, and one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the world, Mount Kilimanjaro.
