The Great State of Innovation

Jun 3 2022 • 42 mins

In this episode, Judge and Cole sit down with Andrea Thomaz, co-founder, and CEO of Diligent Robotics. Thomaz is an MIT Ph.D. and was an Associate Professor and senior researcher leading the robotics lab in the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department at the University of Texas at Austin before founding Diligent Robotics.

Diligent Robotics' flagship product, Moxi, is a healthcare robot designed to help hospital nursing staff spend more time caring for patients. In the first eight weeks of being on the floor, Moxi saved nurses over 700,000 steps (300 miles), equating to roughly 100 hours of additional time nurses got to spend with their patients.
