Speaker Johnson (R-La.) once again massacred conservatives on Friday by reauthorizing an expanded version of FISA 702 spying, despite bipartisan support against it. He was the tie vote against requiring a warrant. Yet not only did Trump decline to pressure him, he gave Johnson complete cover at Mar-a-Lago. In addition, Trump held a press conference on Friday promoting Ukraine funding, bashing anti-abortion laws, opposing the motion to vacate the speakership, and promoting Obamacare. I warn that Trump is being compromised by a quest for wealthy donors and that if we don’t work to push him to the right, this dangerous leftward slide will accelerate. I also give baseline thoughts on Iran’s attack on Israel and how the Biden administration is working with Iran and even ordered the attack.
