Episode 36 of #EverydayGSD sat us down with the talented Latino actor and writer, Carlos Aviles.

Hailing from El Salvador, Carlos shares his incredible journey of falling in love with the art of storytelling and overcoming barriers to pursue his passion. From a young age, he harbored a deep admiration for film, television, and theater, although he initially doubted their attainability.

In this episode, Carlos opens up about his successful career, defying stereotypes as a heavily tattooed actor. With notable roles in films like Ant-Man, Triple 9, and Table 19, as well as his recent portrayal of Mick on NBC's hit series Good Girls, Carlos reflects on his accomplishments and shares his aspirations for even more nuanced roles.

But Carlos's story doesn't begin and end with Hollywood. Before gracing the silver screen, he served in the Army from 1998 to 2005, stationed at Fort Richardson, AK, and Fort Lewis, Washington, with a Military Occupational Specialty (MOS) of 62B. His military background adds another layer to the multifaceted individual that is Carlos Aviles.
