Bon Voyage

Jun 8 2023 • 2 mins

In a Montreal ravaged by an epidemic and a population up in arms against forced vaccinations, French Canadians got some terrible news. The date: November 16, 1885.

Bon Voyage is an audio drama podcast by Michel Marc Bouchard. To give listeners the history behind the story, it is accompanied by a series of episodes by historian Martin Landry about Montreal and Canada in the 1880s.

Bon Voyage is set at the inauguration of the transcontinental railway at Dalhousie Station in Montreal, a construction project with massive social and political ramifications that lies at the very foundations of Canada itself.

The podcast series Bon Voyage is produced by Cirque Éloize, whose creative studios are located in the former Dalhousie Station.
