Overstress means too much stress or exerting your body to carry more weight than it use to so you can perform more and more than feeling half-baked. The thing is we exert too much work but we exert less when it comes to rest and recovery.

Rest and Recovery are important for an athlete. But it is not only naps.

Athletes need to improve their muscular state, reply to mental/emotions, regulate hormones, and balance neurological responses when facing difficult situations.
