Make gratitude the compass guide of your world. Because we could be thankful for everything around us.

In this special month of Thanksgiving Day:

Regel Andaya in Cebu Meditation shares: How do we properly extend and show our gratitude?

The Buddha gave a hint.

He said, showing our sincere gratitude must cover all the cardinal directions.

• North ( our husband, wife, partners, sisterhood, and brotherhood for we go through the process of growing old with them)
• East ( our children and siblings for them we get our inspiration to persevere)
• West ( our parents and relatives for them we get the skills and attributes to navigate this journey)
• South ( our good friends for them we get our support)
• Zenith ( our teachers, divine deities, and spiritual beings who gave us wisdom and guide us in this life unto the afterlife)
• Nadir ( all sentient beings and conditions that supported and sustained our very existence such as the farmers, electricians, cook, linemen, factory workers, bank tellers, etc.)

These must be appreciated, respected, and revered.

This is the proper way to celebrate Thanksgiving Day!
