It is a neurodevelopmental disorder that affects both children and adults. ADHD is characterized by symptoms of inattention, hyperactivity, and impulsivity that are persistent and impair functioning in multiple settings, such as home, school, work, and social situations.Inattention symptoms may include difficulty sustaining attention on tasks, being easily distracted, forgetfulness, poor organization, and avoiding tasks that require mental effort. Hyperactivity symptoms may include excessive talking, restlessness, fidgeting, and difficulty sitting still.
