Book: Recycling to Save the Earth

Topic: Polystyrene is a type of plastic, and Styrofoam is a brand name for a type of extruded polystyrene foam.

So far, Bill HR6654 has been introduced, as has the New Hampshire anti-foam bill HB618.
Polystyrene doesn't exactly have the best environmental track record. It's not biodegradable, which means it sticks around in the environment for a long time. And to make matters worse, it can break down into smaller pieces, called microplastics, that end up polluting our waterways and being ingested by marine life. So, while convenient for us, polystyrene can have some pretty alarming consequences for the environment.
